Robert S. Brookings Residential College:

Lien and Gregg RAs collaborate to foster a heightened sense of community and "Brookings Love" pride. As a result, Brookings is truly fortunate to have a staggering percentage of its freshmen residents choosing to stay within the college for their second and third (and sometimes even fourth!) years. Lien houses 170 first year students primarily in double rooms with connecting bathrooms and is home to five RAs and the RCD. Lien 1 allows students the opportunity to live in a substance-free community. In addition to programming with the Brookings Faculty Family, the Lien RAs also work with a Faculty Associate who is paired with each floor. Gregg houses 155 upperclassmen students in suites, 5 RAs, and our live-in Faculty Family. Brookings offers additional staff support in its Residential Peer Mentors (RPM) who are upperclass residents who live in Gregg and mentor Brookings residents in Calculus, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Writing. Additionally, a Graduate Fellow, two Community Service Mentors, and two Residential Peer Health Educators (RPHE) round out the Brookings team. During the fall and spring, Brookings sponsors "Scorch on the Porch" our BBQ complete with games, music, and plenty of community building. We invite faculty and staff to join us for this event and encourage them to bring their children. Brookings Week, a trip to the Fox Theatre, chocolate fountain study breaks, and the Brookings Ball are also traditional fixtures on Brookings calendar.
